BELFAST PUB JAM

This is a brand new event for us and we’re delighted that some great bars around the cathedral quarter have invited uke groups to jam for an hour!
We’re going to split up into groups to play to the patrons of some local bars – spreading the uke joy and get to experience some of the Belfast craic!
Here’s a list of the groups and bars that you’ll be in. Don’t worry if you’re not in a group – you can join in with any of them (or bar hop!)

The Duke Of York:
Anchor Ukes, Sligo Ukes, Westenders

Ulster Sports Club:
Crossgar Ukes, Lisburn Ukes, Banbridge Ukes

The National:
Ballymena Ukes, Orchard Ukes, Bangor Ukes, Castlebellingham Ukes

The Bullitt
Belfast Uke Jam

HAWAIIAN SHIRT COMPETITION

Got an awesome hawaiian shirt that you’re dying to show off?
This is the perfect opportunity… and you could win a prize!

You don’t have to look quite as good as the dreamboat Tom Selleck (who could?), but if you’ve got a colourful / weird shirt hanging in the wardrobe then get it out and wear it on the day. We’ll definitely be the most colourful bunch in the Belfast Mela!!!

Our eagle eyed mystery judge will be keeping close tabs on the fashion and the winner will be announced at the concert in the evening.
Good luck!! 🍍🍍

OPEN MIC

If you fancy getting up on stage and singing and playing a song, there will be an opportunity at the end of the evening to give it a go!

The open mic is for individuals and small groups (max. 6 on stage!)
As we have to be out of the venue at midnight we have a limited amount of time so each performance must be under 4 mins. (after which a bouncer in a Hawaiian skirt will carry you off stage)

To put your name down for the open mic, please email us with your name and your song choice as soon as possible.
